On March 24, the Catholic University of Braga will hold the 5th edition of the “Every Drop Counts” Blood Donation Campaign, a charitable initiative that aims to raise awareness and mobilize the academic community about the importance of blood donation.
The campaign is organized by Voluntaria*te, in conjunction with the Portuguese Institute of Blood and Transplantation, reinforcing the University's commitment to promoting solidarity and social responsibility initiatives.
Blood collection will take place between 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. in rooms B5 and B6, located in the Camões Campus building. Participation is open to students, faculty, and non-teaching staff, subject to prior registration.
People between the ages of 18 and 60 who are donating blood for the first time, as well as regular donors between the ages of 18 and 65, are eligible to participate, provided they weigh more than 50 kg and are in adequate health to donate.
More than blood type, what really matters is the gesture of love and solidarity towards others. Each donation can make a difference and contribute directly to saving lives.
