In the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences, students who present conditions eligible for a scholarship may submit themselves to the selection process for the scholarship.
"In order to ensure that no Portuguese citizen is deprived of access to higher education due to economic insufficiency, the Ministry of Education and Science has developed a policy of direct school social action, by awarding scholarships to economically needy students with academic success, a policy that is also a privileged instrument to combat dropping out of higher education.
