The initiative took place between 9:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., thanks to the commitment and dedication of the Voluntaria*te team, which was responsible for organizing and overseeing the entire event.
To ensure efficient management of the submissions, a registration form was made available to streamline the collection process. The campaign was promoted through the University’s various institutional channels, such as Instagram, Facebook, the faculty website, and email communications sent to students, faculty, and staff. At a later stage, the initiative was also extended to the wider community, thereby broadening its scope and impact.
As a token of appreciation, flowers were presented to the participants and the IPST team as a symbolic gesture of thanks for their contribution. In addition, first-time donors received a certificate from the IPST to mark this important act of solidarity.
According to the data recorded and subsequently confirmed by the IPST, there were 39 registrations, resulting in 32 actual participants and 25 successful blood donations.
This initiative highlights the strong spirit of solidarity within the academic community and underscores the importance of initiatives that promote active citizenship, mutual support, and social engagement.
Call for participation
Donating blood is a simple act with a huge impact—one that can save lives and make a difference in critical moments. Every day, countless people depend on the generosity of donors for medical treatments, surgeries, and emergencies.
In this context, we call on the entire academic community to actively participate in upcoming blood drives. By participating, you contribute to a society that is more compassionate, more humane, and more aware of the value of life. Give blood. Give life.
