The Braga Campus of the Portuguese Catholic University is celebrating Academic Day today. The ceremony will take place at 9:30 a.m. in the Aula Magna of the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences.

The session begins with the academic procession, followed by the Lecture of Wisdom entitled ‘Celebrating Camilo Castelo Branco on the Bicentenary of his Birth,’ given by Professor José Cândido Oliveira Martins.

The ceremony continues with a tribute to employees celebrating 25 years of service and retirees, and the presentation of awards to the institution's best students.

The closing ceremony will feature a speech by Canon Luís Miguel Figueiredo Rodrigues, before a performance by Líricas. The programme includes creative workshops in the morning and an afternoon of sports.
