The Celeirós School Group kicked off the new academic year with its Cultural Days, an event that proved particularly inspiring and exceeded all expectations.

The Celeirós School Group marked the start of the new academic year with its Cultural Days. The event, which featured a lecture by Professor Eduardo Jorge Duque, promoted reflection on human values and education.

The new director of the Group, Carlos Louro, in his opening speech, highlighted the importance of starting the academic year with a moment of sharing and reflection on the current challenges of education, emphasizing the need to think of school as a space for humanization and not just instruction.

The highlight of the day was the presence of Professor Eduardo Jorge Duque, whose oratory excellence and depth of thought impressed those present. The guest was introduced by a student from the Group, a gesture that illustrated the intergenerational involvement in the construction of this moment.

Under the theme "Human values and education in generational transformations," Eduardo Duque developed a comprehensive and engaging reflection, exploring the concept of values without falling into judgments. He emphasized that "education does not need specialists, it needs people who love to educate," a statement that resonated strongly with teachers. He also argued that the fundamental role of the teacher is to awaken students to life, highlighting the ethical and human dimension of teaching.

Carlos Louro reinforced the relevance of this reflection for the work to be developed throughout the school year and expressed his appreciation for the intervention of Professor Eduardo Duque, whose clarity and depth were unanimously praised.

The day ended with a convivial lunch, which brought together almost all the teaching and non-teaching staff of the Group.
