The Portuguese Catholic University is participating in the DeepTech Transfer Competition, a program designed to bridge the gap between scientific research and the market by supporting innovative projects in the fields of agri-food, health, and information technology.

The competition is open to science- and technology-based projects with technology readiness levels (TRL) of 4 to 7, developed in the Northern and Central regions of Portugal. Participation is free and represents a strategic opportunity for researchers, students, entrepreneurs, and academic teams seeking to accelerate the transfer of knowledge into solutions that have a real impact on society.

Among the program’s key benefits are:

• Specialized mentoring from technology transfer experts;
• Access to specialized technical tools and resources;
• Connections to companies, investors, and strategic partners;
• Opportunity to join a cohort of up to 15 teams;
• An “in-kind” award worth €5,000 in specialized mentoring.

The initiative aims to foster innovative ideas with high market potential by promoting the development of deep tech solutions capable of addressing contemporary challenges in the fields of health, sustainability, and digital transformation.
