An international group of doctoral researchers has been organizing regular meetings dedicated to presenting and discussing their research at the Portuguese Catholic University’s Braga campus. The initiative, conceived by postdoctoral researcher Alice Mevis, provides a space for scientific exchange and interdisciplinary dialogue among researchers from different fields of study.

The meetings bring together researchers from Brazil, Spain, Bangladesh, and Belgium who are pursuing their doctoral studies at the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences (FFCS) and the Center for Philosophical and Humanistic Studies (CEFH) at the Portuguese Catholic University.

With a distinctly interdisciplinary focus, the sessions cover research in the fields of Linguistics, Literature, Philosophy, Geography, and Mathematics, with the aim of promoting the exchange of perspectives, methodologies, and research experiences among participants from different academic and cultural backgrounds.

The initiative is guided by and features the participation of Professors Augusto Soares da Silva, José Cândido de Oliveira Martins, and Carlos Morujão, who contribute to an environment of critical reflection, scientific cooperation, and the internationalization of research conducted at Católica Braga.

By fostering dialogue among different disciplines and nationalities, these meetings reinforce the Portuguese Catholic University’s commitment to excellence in research, advanced education, and the creation of international knowledge networks.
