Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences.
She holds a degree in Social Work from the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Coimbra and a Master's degree in Social Work from the Portuguese Catholic University. She has a PhD in Social Work from the inter-university doctoral program of the University of Coimbra and the Portuguese Catholic University.
Coordinator of the Bachelor's Degree in Social Work and the Master's Degree in Applied Social Gerontology. She has been Technical Coordinator of the Social Center of the Brotherhood of S. Torcato, Guimarães (IPSS with social services for the elderly) since 2013.
She is a researcher at the Center for Philosophical and Humanistic Studies (CEFH) at UCP (Braga).
Her areas of interest include: Studies of poverty, vulnerability, and social exclusion; Gerontological Social Work; Innovative teaching methodologies; Sustainable Development, among others.
