She holds a Ph.D. in Social Work from the interuniversity program offered by the University of Coimbra and the Portuguese Catholic University, and is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences at the Portuguese Catholic University.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Coimbra and a master’s degree in Social Work from the Portuguese Catholic University, and coordinates the Bachelor’s program in Social Work and the Master’s program in Applied Social Gerontology. She also serves as technical coordinator of a private social welfare organization that provides social services for the elderly.
She is a researcher at the Center for Philosophical and Humanistic Studies at the Portuguese Catholic University. Her research interests focus on the study of poverty, vulnerability, and social exclusion, gerontological social work, and educational innovation.
