The universities of Braga will host, on the 28th of this month, from 10:00 am, the passage of the symbols of the World Youth Days (WYD) 2023.
This event begins at the Aula Magna of the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences of the Catholic University of Portugal (UCP), where a presentation of the WYD and the symbols will take place, and will feature testimonies from former participants of the meeting, as well as an “inspiring reflection on the WYD in the light of today's Youth, which will end with a prayer”, reads a note sent to ECCLESIA Agency.
Afterwards, the academic community makes a pilgrimage with the symbols to the UCP Camões Building, where the festivities conclude with a time of conviviality.
The symbols will be passed on to the University of Minho (UM) and the ceremony will be attended by the Pro-Rector João Duque and the Archbishop of Braga D. José Cordeiro at a mass at the Centro Pastoral Universitário at UM.
The session will close with a dinner, for which registration is mandatory, followed by an evening.
