Joy of Giving is the motto of the Portuguese Catholic University's Christmas Solidarity Campaign. In Braga, students are collecting goods for the ‘Vida Norte’ association.

The Voluntaria*te group - the Volunteer Centre of the Portuguese Catholic University of Braga and ‘Ser Social’ - the Social Service Student Commission of the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences - are promoting a campaign to collect essential goods in favour of the Vida Norte Association, a social solidarity institution that supports pregnant women and babies in vulnerable situations.

This organisation offers continuous and close support, with the aim of empowering families and promoting the construction of an autonomous, responsible and happy life project.

The two groups of ‘Católica’ students are appealing for donations of nappies, wipes, ointments, powdered milk, porridge, shower gel, compresses and saline solution.
The collection point is the main atrium of the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences.

The initiative by the students of the Braga Regional Centre of ‘Católica’ is part of the Portuguese Catholic University's 2024 Christmas Solidarity Campaign, which is also taking place in Lisbon, Porto, Braga and Viseu. ‘The Joy of Giving’ is the motto of the campaign, which is once again associated with the global ‘Giving Tuesday’ movement, which aims to inspire generosity around the world.
