Between June 3 and 7, teachers Ana Salazar, Daniela Monteiro, José Miguel Vilaça and Maria José Lopes took part in the "Curso de Formación Básica UNIJES" (Module I), which brought together teaching and non-teaching staff from Jesuit universities across Spain.

This is the second time FFCS teachers have taken part in this initiative, which aims to promote reflection and personal and professional growth based on Ignatian identity through a series of lectures, workshops and other activities such as visits to Ignatian sites and UNIJES (Jesuit Universities of Spain) faculties. This time, the event took place in the city of Manresa, an emblematic place in the life of St. Ignatius of Loyola.  

The work program of the "Curso Formación Básica UNIJES" included presentations by Ildefonso Camacho SJ and Xavier Melloni SJ, which focused on contextualizing and substantiating the presence of the Society of Jesus in university teaching; and, starting from the personal experience of Saint Ignatius of Loyola, on reflecting on one's personal experience and awareness of one's mission as a collaborator in the Society's universities. The contributions and reflective syntheses of Pello Azpitarte, SJ, and Albert Florensa, a constant presence throughout the formation, were also very impactful.

The FFCS was part of the training program for teachers at Jesuit universities, designed by UNIJES (https://unijes.net/), following the objective of strengthening the institutional identity as a Faculty of the Society of Jesus and as a Catholic University.
