On December 7th, between 2:30 pm and 5:00 pm, the Seminar "Investing in Mental Health through Social Intervention: Current Constraints and Challenges" will take place in room 3.1 of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa - Braga, with Mafalda Ribeiro and José Alves .

This event was organized within the scope of the Degree in Social Service, by teachers from the curricular units “Observatório”, “ESSS I” and “ESSS V”, namely, Catarina Vieira da Silva, Carla Tralhão, Daniela Monteiro and Jorge Barbosa.

Biographical Notes

 

Mafalda Ribeiro is a Social Worker at Casa de Saúde S. João de Deus – Barcelos. Graduated in Social Work from the Portuguese Catholic University - Faculty of Social Sciences – Braga. Postgraduate in Continuing and Palliative Care; Psychosocial intervention with children, young people and families; Psychogerontology and Alcoholology.

José Alves is a senior technician at the Municipality of Braga. Graduated in Sociology from the University of Minho. Coordinator of the Braga Municipal Intercultural Mediators Project. Specialized training in the areas of domestic violence, gender equality, support for victims and combating human trafficking and intercultural mediation.
