Viviana Pinto holds a Ph.D. in Applied Psychology, having conducted her research in the field of Industrial and Organizational Psychology, with a focus on occupational safety and the psychosocial and organizational factors associated with promoting safer work environments.
She is currently a full-time Visiting Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences of the Portuguese Catholic University – Braga Regional Center, where she teaches courses in the first and second cycles of the Psychology program. At the undergraduate level, he has taught the courses Applied Statistics in Psychology, Social Psychology, Motivation and Emotion, and Research Seminar in Psychology. At the graduate level, as part of the Master’s Program in Work and Organizational Psychology, he teaches Organizational Behavior and Research Project Seminar, and is also a member of the Master’s Program Coordination Committee. He also assists in supervising academic work, research projects, master’s theses, and academic internships.
His main research interests lie in the field of Industrial and Organizational Psychology, with a particular focus on occupational safety and health, safety culture, organizational behavior, quality of working life, workplace well-being, burnout, and emerging changes in work contexts. More recently, he has been exploring a line of research focused on well-being in performance contexts, particularly in sports, addressing aspects such as work-life balance, sports anxiety, fear of failure, and athletes’ well-being.
