Graduates received their diplomas yesterday and highlighted the experiences and lessons that are essential for business management. The Catholic University announced the new Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Management in Braga.
Yesterday, at the Braga campus of the Portuguese Catholic University, twelve students from the Executive Academy received their training certificates.
The course provided training in various areas and fostered interpersonal relationships. “We are celebrating skills and social connections, camaraderie, and friendship. The students weren’t just in a classroom; they were part of a community. The university has always been a place for building relationships,” emphasized Paulo Dias, vice-rector of the Braga campus of the Portuguese Catholic University.
He also noted that “lifelong learning is no longer an option but a necessity.”
Ana Salazar, coordinator of the Executive Academy, also emphasized that “lifelong learning is a necessity” felt by many corporate executives. She further pointed out that the diploma awarded yesterday “represents effort, discipline, and confidence in the future.”
Bruno Nobre, director of the School of Philosophy and Social Sciences, explained that developing skills in the field of management has been a priority for the Portuguese Catholic University. “This training program contributed greatly to the development of skills. There was a lot of enthusiasm and a lot of learning. The Portuguese Catholic University, here in Braga, has been investing in the field of management and executive education,” said Bruno Nobre.
The dean of the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences took the opportunity to announce the launch, this academic year, of the Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Management. “This year we will launch a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Management, which was a long-held dream of the Braga Regional Center of the Portuguese Catholic University and is finally coming to fruition. We already have a very promising number of applicants,” noted Bruno Nobre.
The program coordinator, Carina Meireles, praised the commitment of all the graduates, saying she was “very proud of your work.”
Daniela Almeida, one of the graduates, emphasized that “experiences” were shared. “We transformed knowledge into experience, and I myself applied the knowledge I gained at my company. This course gave me a new way of thinking and managing.”
In addition to the diploma ceremony, the session also included a roundtable discussion on the topic “Humanity in the Age of AI” (Artificial Intelligence).
The discussion, moderated by Ana Salazar, featured Sérgio Agrelos, director of F3M Information Systems, and Nuno Veloso Santos, CEO and general manager of IBD Global Portugal, part of the Bernardo da Costa Group. Both addressed the challenges that AI poses for companies and were unanimous in emphasizing that the human person is at the center of all decisions.
