Young people from various schools in the region learnt about the opportunities offered by each course

Open Day

Several students were welcomed on Wednesday morning at the Portuguese Catholic University in Braga for an Open Day.

Open Day 2024 took place in the University's Aula Magna and was specially designed for secondary school students, their parents, teachers and careers advisors, with the aim of discussing the professions of the future and the skills most valued for each of them, based on the courses available at the Braga Regional Centre.

For students who are currently unsure about which area to pursue in higher education, this meeting was an opportunity to clear up any doubts about the way forward

The day kicked off with music provided by the Líricas - Women's Tuna of the Portuguese Catholic University of Braga.

Then, throughout the morning, students and leaders/representatives of the various courses (Applied Data Science, Communication Sciences, Portuguese Studies, Philosophy, Psychology, Social Work and Tourism) were able to present the programmes on offer at UCP - Braga, as well as the respective entrance exam procedures and the scholarships available.

The University also prepared a varied snack in the entrance hall of the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences for the students who attended the Open Day.
