On May 28, the Braga Regional Center of the Portuguese Catholic University (UCP) will mark the 25th anniversary of its establishment, in an event that celebrates the union between the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences and the Faculty of Theology.
The 25th Anniversary Ceremony of the Braga Regional Center, starting at 5.30pm, will include a welcome from the Pro-Rector of UCP-Braga, Paulo Dias, followed by a speech from João Duque, the previous Pro-Rector of UCP-Braga, who will talk about the institution's history and people. The words of the Mayor of Braga, Ricardo Rio, will also be heard.
The academic choir of UCP-Braga will perform at this moment, which will close with speeches by the Rector of UCP, Isabel Capeloa Gil, and the Primate Archbishop of Braga and the Spanish Islands, Dom José Cordeiro.
The Eucharist, which will be presided over by the Primate Archbishop of Braga and Spain, will take place at 7pm in the Immaculate Chapel of Our Lady of the Conception.
The end of the celebrations will be marked with a dinner in the Cloisters of Espaço Vita, which will bring together the academic community and guests in a moment of fraternization.
