The Universidade Católica Portuguesa - Braga is preparing to host the International Summer School, from 14 to 18 July, organised in partnership with the Católica Porto Business School.

The opening day of the event, 14 July, will feature two panels. The first, entitled ‘From Footprints to Footsteps’, will be led by Ana Salazar, a lecturer at the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences (FFCS). In the second panel, Emese Panyik, a lecturer at the FFCS, will address the topic of ‘Rethinking Tourism - A pathway towards destination resilience’.

After lunch, there will be an outdoor activity and a guided tour of the city of Braga.

On 15 July, Carla Cardoso, coordinator of the Tourism degree at FFCS, will talk about ‘Strategic Development through Sustainable Development Goals’. Then Cândido Martins, a lecturer at Católica Braga, will present the topic of ‘Local Traditions and Culture’.

In the afternoon, participants will have the opportunity to visit and do some activities at Bom Jesus de Braga.

From 16 to 18 July, the Summer School will move to the city of Porto. During the mornings of 16 and 17 July, Católica Porto Business School will host a conference on ‘Deep Tech & Business Case’. The afternoons will be filled with various activities around the city, such as a visit to the Ferreira Port wine cellars and a cruise on the River Douro.

On the last day, participants will have the opportunity to walk around and discover more about the city of Porto.
