  • Discover two of the identity marks of European culture, Greece and Rome;
  • Understand the importance of myth in classical cultures and literatures and its impact on posterity
  • Identify other cultural marks of antiquity in literary texts, particularly in Portuguese literature
  • To frame the spiritual productions of antiquity in the 'continuum' of human activity, in a diachronic perspective
  • Motivate the research activity, oriented to a constant updating.
