With a degree in Humanities (1989) and a PhD (2007) in Greek Literature, she is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences of the Portuguese Catholic University (Braga Regional Centre), where she has been teaching various curricular units since 1990, mainly in the area of Classical Studies. She has also taught several curricular units on various University Extension and Postgraduate Courses and Free Courses (Latin, Greek, Grammatical Analysis, Classical Mythology) to students from inside and outside the UCP.
He is a member of the CEFH of the same institution. Her research has focused on Greek and Latin Language and Literature, Classical Culture, Religion and Mythology, and their reception in Portuguese Literature. Within the scope of her fundamental research area, she has participated as a lecturer (and published several texts and coordinated several thematic volumes) in dozens of International Scientific Congresses, in Portugal and abroad, and has been a member of the Organising, Scientific and Coordinating Committees of more than a dozen International Scientific Congresses. She is Professor Librarian at the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences, and Secretary of the Portuguese Journal of Humanities at the FFCS.
