The Summer School within the scope of the DIGIT(ALL) Project - A new approach to digital education and inclusion took place between 4 and 8 September 2023. Teachers from the four countries involved in the project participated in this summer school, with sessions held in English. The materials and follow-up were subsequently carried out by each of the national teams. During the summer school, teachers were introduced to digital tools and an intervention programme, which they were to apply in their classrooms.

In Portugal, the training was accredited by the CCPFC for continuing education purposes. Participation was free of charge and places were limited so that more personalised support could be provided to each of the registered participants. Before the final day, a social dinner was held as part of this activity, accompanied by a performance of traditional Portuguese music. Coordinated by the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences of the Portuguese Catholic University (CEFH), with the participation of researchers from the University of Vienna (Austria), the University of Paderborn (Germany), the Colegiul Tehnic „Mihai Băcescu” (Romania) and PROACTING (Portugal), this DIGIT(ALL) Summer School was attended by primary school teachers, namely those teaching the 3rd and 4th years.

At a time when there are major challenges in terms of inclusion in education, this topic is attracting increasing interest from schools, teachers and the entire educational community. Technological development and digitalisation can increasingly enhance the development of new tools, helping to promote social participation and the inclusion of all students in the classroom.
