Daniela Monteiro and Jorge Barbosa, lecturers in Social Work at the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences (FFCS) of the Portuguese Catholic University (UCP) - Braga, are the authors of the latest book published by Edições Esgotadas: "Modelos e Práticas nos Comportamentos Aditivos e Dependências: da Prevenção à Reinserção Social".

Jorge Barbosa is also the organizer of this book, the result of an initiative by several university professors, researchers and professionals in the field of Addictive Behaviors and Dependencies, which addresses the transversality and importance of multidisciplinarity in dealing with this social phenomenon, presenting proposals for intervention based on strengthening the quality and innovation of social and health responses in the current context of complexity and social uncertainty.

The team of professors from UCP's FFCS is also the author of two chapters, in which they explain the strategic dimension of the intervention of social workers in the reintegration of people with addictive behaviors and dependencies and the sequential analysis of the "Vida Emprego" Program, in the context of public policies promoting the employability of people with addictive behaviors and dependencies.

The book is available on the website of Editora Edições Esgotadas.
