PUBLIC NOTICE FOR AN INTERNATIONAL CALL FOR APPLICATIONS
FOR THE POST OF POST-DOCTORAL RESEARCHER
PURSUANT TO DECREE-LAW NO. 57/ 2016 OF 29 AUGUST

1. Framework
The Rector of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Prof. Dr. Isabel Capeloa Gil, hereby announces the opening of an international call for applications for one vacancy of junior doctoral researcher to perform duties of scientific research and knowledge transfer (with an exclusivity clause), in the scientific field of Psychology or Educational Sciences. The research activities will be carried out at the Centre for Philosophical and Humanistic Studies (CEFH), integrated at the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences of Universidade Católica Portuguesa, in Braga, within the framework of the R&D Project BESI: Sistema Integrado para a Promoção Do Bem-Estar e do Sucesso Escolar, baseado Em Estratégias Pedagógicas Inovadoras with reference NORTE2030-FEDER-01425800, funded by Fundo Europeu de Desenvolvimento Regional (FEDER) through Programa Operacional Regional do Norte.
This contract aims to accomplish the following research goals and objectives:
Analysis and identification of different models of subjective well-being (SWB) and design of the SWB matrix.
Design and definition of the platform architecture, namely the integration of the SWB matrix, and study of relevant indicators related to student well-being and academic performance.
Development and implementation of methodologies to support teachers in carrying out activities that promote student well-being.
Conducting validation tests and demonstration trials.
Presentation of work at international scientific events.
Writing of articles for submission to peer-reviewed international scientific journals, particularly those indexed in Scopus or Web of Science (WoS).
Preparation of research activity reports.
2. Applicable Legislation
Decree-Law no. 57/2016 of 29 August, amended by Law no. 57/2017 of 19 July, in its current wording, which sets out the framework for the hiring of post-doctoral academics, aimed at fostering scientific and technological employment in all areas of knowledge (RJEC), without prejudice to the specific regulations applicable to the Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
3. Workplace
The workplace is located at the Braga facilities of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
