On 30 November, an awareness-raising event on volunteering was held at the Portuguese Catholic University in Braga, aimed at students participating in Community Service and the Voluntaria*te programme.
The training was facilitated by Pista Mágica, Portugal's first volunteer school, and aimed to empower participants to engage in volunteering, promoting a culture of solidarity, social responsibility, and active citizenship in the academic context.
During the session, key topics were explored, such as the concept of volunteering, the principles that guide it, and the legal framework for voluntary activity. The initiative also sought to encourage reflection on personal commitment and the importance of developing effective volunteering with an impact on the community.
With this action, Católica Braga reaffirms its commitment to the comprehensive training of students, promoting values of solidarity and service to others, which are at the core of its educational and social mission.
