Under the motto “Braga creates value: education, business impact, and management,” the initiative marked the public launch of a new training program from the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences, designed to respond to contemporary management challenges and the transformation of the labor market.
The meeting brought together institutional leaders, academics, and entrepreneurs for several rounds of debate. The opening session was led by Bruno Nobre, director of the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences.
The first panel was dedicated to the role of “Braga: A vibrant ecosystem for wealth creation,” with representatives from the municipality of Braga, InvestBraga, AEB, and AEMinho.
Next, João Pinto, Dean of Católica Porto Business School, and Ana Salazar, coordinator of the new degree program, reflected on the addition of management training to Católica's offerings in Braga.
The afternoon also included a second round table on “The quality of management and its impact on the business fabric of Braga,” with names linked to groups such as Grupo Bernardo da Costa, DSTgroup, BMcar, Hotéis do Bom Jesus, and Greenvolt Comunidades.
To conclude the session, the Vice-Rector of the Braga Campus signed memoranda of understanding with the partner companies.
With this new degree, Católica Braga is entering the field of management training more directly, seeking to differentiate itself through a teaching model focused on concrete problems, critical analysis of reality, and the preparation of professionals capable of working in increasingly demanding, digital, and interdisciplinary business contexts.
