The Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences of the Portuguese Catholic University in Braga is offering 8 incentive scholarships for the next edition of the Master's Degree in Digital Communication, which will begin in the 2025/2026 academic year. Applications for the second phase are currently open, and new students can still join the course.

The scholarships available are part of the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR) and guarantee a reduction of 1,250 euros in the total amount of tuition fees, and are awarded on the basis of academic merit and motivation.

In a context of technological acceleration and structural change in media ecosystems, Católica Braga's Master's in Digital Communication seeks to respond to the new challenges of digital communication, offering multidisciplinary training that combines critical thinking, digital literacy, creativity and practical skills.

From the evolution of Web 2.0 to the emerging logics of Web 5.0, the digital environment has radically transformed the way individuals, organizations and communities produce, share and interpret content. The program takes a transversal approach to digital communication, enabling students to work in the fields of media, creative industries, education, advertising, digital journalism and interactive content production.

The curriculum is spread over two academic years. In the first year, students take units such as sociology of digital, social networks, creative industries, transmediatic narratives, digital marketing, web design and research methodologies. In the second year, they can choose between three paths: a professional internship in the field of digital communication, lasting between four and six months; a dissertation of a scientific nature, focused on applied or theoretical research; or the development of an innovative project, in partnership with external entities and accompanied by professionals from the sector.

The master's degree is aimed at graduates in Communication Sciences, Multimedia or related areas, as well as professionals with proven experience in the digital sector who want to update or deepen their skills.

The training prepares them for careers in contexts as diverse as digital media, communication agencies, marketing and advertising, the creative industry, digital journalism, interactive design, content production, communication consultancy and cultural projects and educational contexts.
