On October 18, the national ceremony for the Opening of the 2024-2025 Academic Year and the National Graduation of Graduates from the 2023-2024 Academic Year will take place.
The ceremony, which starts at 3.30pm, will be opened by the Rector of UCP, Isabel Capeloa Gil, and Miguel Freitas, a former student at the School of Biotechnology, will address the university's recent graduates and students.
This will be followed by the blessing of the diplomas by the UCP Chaplain, Father Miguel Vasconcelos, and the awarding of diplomas to the representatives of the UCP courses that graduated in the 2023-2024 academic year.
The UCP/Caixa Geral de Depósitos Awards and the Democracy and Development Awards will also be presented to students of the University, as well as commemorative medals for 25 and 40 years of teaching.
This session will be presided over by His Eminence, the Most Reverend Rui Valério, Chancellor of the UCP.
