On March 12, we celebrate the anniversary of the canonization of Saint Ignatius of Loyola, founder of the Jesuits. In order to commemorate this date, we will be holding an Ignatian Day with the theme "On the Way with Ignatius". This day of celebration will include moments of conviviality, celebration of faith and discovery of the charism of the one who is at the origin of works such as the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences or the CAB.
Classes will be replaced by this day's program, between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Tuesday. You can find the timetable for the festivities in the program, which starts at the 10:30 break with a snack and ends in the evening with a trip to the Bom Jesus Sanctuary for the Via Crucis of the University Students of Braga.
This will be followed by a talk with Father Nuno Tovar de Lemos on "What would Ignatius say to a young atheist?" and a session especially designed for educators, "What would Ignatius say to a 21st century educator?".
Between talks and lunch, you can visit the Ignatian space - divided between the FFCS and the CAB - before joining a lunch of steaks and beers on the CAB terrace (or in the hall, if the rain forces us to).
At the end of the day, you can unwind from an intense afternoon of classes at a Sunset with music and drinks, before heading to the CAB chapel to celebrate St. Ignatius Mass.
