On 30 April, at 9am, a vocational talk for 3rd year psychology students will be held in the Aula Magna of the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences (FFCS) of the Portuguese Catholic University (UCP) - Braga.
In the first panel, lecturers Eleonora Costa, Ângela Azevedo and Anabela Rodrigues will clarify doubts and myths related to the UCP - Braga master's programmes in psychology. Students will also have the opportunity to ask any questions that may arise during the session.
The second part of the talk will begin at 11am, with a speech by Marta Alves, a member of the Northern Regional Delegation of the Order of Portuguese Psychologists' Continuous Professional Development. As well as being aimed at 3rd year Psychology students, this event is also aimed at Masters students. However, students who are already attending the 2nd cycle of studies will also be able to attend.
During the session, the following subjects will be addressed:
- Introduction to the Order;
- Regulated profession;
- What defines the path to becoming a psychologist, a psychology graduate from a psychologist;
- Psychological act:
- The practice of psychology is not watertight;
- Junior year - not an obstacle, but a year that supports practice;
- Responsibility and decision-making;
- OPP resources and tools for those studying and those entering the labour market.
