F3M and the Universidade Católica Portuguesa – Braga Campus have signed a cooperation agreement aimed at promoting joint initiatives in education, training, and professional certification, in order to address emerging market needs and contribute to the development of technical, scientific, and strategic skills across various sectors.

The ceremony was attended by Paulo Dias, Vice-Rector of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa at the Braga Campus, and Sérgio Agrelos, Director of F3M. The agreement now signed aims to strengthen cooperation between the two institutions through the creation, promotion, and dissemination of specialized training programs geared toward professionals seeking to update their knowledge, enhance their skills, advance their careers, or address new organizational challenges.

The first joint initiative will begin in October in an online format and will focus on the theme “Management and Communication in the Social Sector.” With a total duration of 51 hours, this training is aimed specifically at leaders, technicians, and managers in the Social Economy, but also at professionals from other fields who wish to acquire specific skills in these areas. The course is intended, among others, for graduates in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Social Education, Communication, Human Resources, Management, and related scientific fields.

The program was designed to address some of the key challenges currently faced by organizations in the social sector, particularly in the areas of strategic communication, recruitment and retention of staff, institutional visibility, transparency, accountability, sustainability, and inter-institutional collaboration.

According to Sérgio Agrelos, Director of F3M, the social sector plays an essential role in promoting social cohesion, inclusion, and sustainable development, which today face increasingly demanding challenges. In this context, strategic communication is a central element in defining the identity of organizations, mobilizing audiences, and ensuring the sustainability of their missions.

The training therefore aims to strengthen the communication and strategic management skills of current and future leaders in the social sector, in order to help reinforce the identity and visibility of organizations, improve transparency, attract volunteers, professionals, and partners, and ensure the continuity of their mission.

In addition to this initial initiative, F3M and Católica Braga will develop new joint initiatives focused on training and certifying professionals in the Northern region, reinforcing both institutions’ commitment to innovation, lifelong learning, and community development.
