The Transform4Europe Alliance (T4EU) is pleased to invite researchers, young researchers and PhD students from all T4EU universities to participate in the first Matchmaking Event and PhD Conference, to be held in Saint-Étienne, France, on 13 and 14 November 2024. Organised by Jean Monnet University, the event will focus on the theme ‘AI and Society: The commitment of researchers to positive transformation’.
The PhD Conference also offers an excellent opportunity for young researchers and PhD students from the T4EU Alliance to present their research in Artificial Intelligence in a concise 3-minute format. We are looking for the participation of one PhD student from each T4EU university. This is an ideal platform for networking, exchanging ideas and presenting research to a diverse audience of colleagues and experts.
Discussion topics include:
Legal aspects of AI
AI tools in academia
AI for sciences such as astronomy, biology and medicine
AI and language from a design and marketing perspective
Ethical issues, prejudices and safety in AI
The event will include:
Panel discussions and workshops
Research poster presentations
Networking sessions and visits to laboratories
Presentations of work by doctoral students
Applications are open until 28 October 2024 and must be submitted online. Students should complete the application form below and send a motivation letter in English, explaining their choice of courses and the impact of attending the event. Selection will be based on the level of interest and professional and personal experience in the thematic areas proposed for the Conference.
The results of the selection process will be announced by 30 October 2024.
