The Catholic University of Portugal (UCP) has created an Institute of Computing and Data Science (ICCD) that will operate in the Regional Center of Braga, it was announced today in a statement.
In a statement, the UCP describes that three computer labs were created with the purpose of promoting the close connection between research results in this area and the development and improvement of processes in the national industrial sector.
Equipped with equipment for the collection, processing, analysis and visualization of large volumes of data, these spaces aim to “endow students with the necessary skills to successfully enter a highly competitive job market”.
The creation of the ICCD comes after the opening of the degree in Applied Data Science last year.
