The Braga Regional Center of the Catholic University of Portugal will host on the 28th of February, starting at 10:00 am, the passage of the symbols of the World Youth Day (WYD) 2023.

This event begins at the Aula Magna of the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences of the Catholic University of Portugal (UCP), where a presentation of the WYD and the symbols will take place and which will feature testimonies from former participants of the meeting and also an “inspiring reflection on WYD in the light of today's Youth, which will end with a prayer", reads a note sent to ECCLESIA Agency.

The ceremony will also be attended by the Pro-Rector of the UCP, João Duque, and the Archbishop of Braga, D. José Cordeiro.

The academic community will make a pilgrimage with the symbols to the UCP Camões Building, ending with a moment of conviviality.

The visit takes place as part of the passage of WYD symbols through the universities of Braga, which takes place throughout the day; the symbols will be handed over to the University of Minho (UM), at 1.15 pm, and then to the IPCA – Instituto Politécnico do Cávado e do Ave, where the reception is scheduled for 4.00 pm.

The day dedicated to Universities will conclude at the Centro Pastoral Universitário, next to the Gualtar campus of the University of Minho, at 7 pm with the celebration of Mass, dinner and an evening with tunas.

Attendance at the dinner requires prior registration, available on the social networks of Pastoral Universitária de Braga.
