Transform4Europe organises workshops on sharing research data and scientific communication with social networks

Wednesday, April 2, 2025 - 15:39

"Sharing research data as part of open science communication" and “Effective science communication through social media” are the themes of the two webinars that Transform4Europe is organising.

The aim of these workshops is to improve science communication skills among students, researchers and lecturers in the Transform4Europe Alliance.

Both workshops will be held via Zoom. Participants who complete the workshop will receive a certificate of participation issued by T4EU.

On 10 April, from 9:00 to 11:00 CEST, Ana Slavec from the University of Primorska will present the session "Sharing research data as part of open science communication", which explores the effective sharing of research data, covering repositories, visibility strategies and ethical considerations.

Participants will learn the principles of FAIR data, licensing and compliance to maximise transparency, accessibility and impact, ensuring that their research contributes meaningfully to Open Science and diverse audiences.

The second workshop "Effective scientific communication through social media" will take place on 22 April from 9am to 11am CEST, with trainers Karin Marinič from the University of Primorska and Amy Simmons from the University of Primorska.

This workshop, aimed at academic staff, researchers and PhD students, will discuss practical ways of creating engaging and accessible scientific communication.
