On July 26, at 9:30 a.m., the Open Day for the Bachelor's Degree in Applied Data Science will take place at the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences of the Portuguese Catholic University (UCP) – Braga. This initiative aims to help anyone interested in learning more about the currently highly relevant field of data science and the career opportunities associated with it.
The event is aimed at 11th and 12th grade students, especially those interested in the fields of Statistics, Computing, or Artificial Intelligence, and their parents, guardians, or family members.
During the event, participants will have the opportunity to hear about the experiences of undergraduate students and ask professionals in the field about their daily lives and the impact of their work on society.
There will also be an information session, broadcast online, where useful information about the course curriculum, admission requirements, and scholarships will be shared.
Finally, participants will be given a hands-on challenge, which consists of a simulation of a data analysis task that students must respond to.
Registration is free but mandatory for both the in-person event and the online broadcast, until July 24.
