On June 3rd, 2026, the Faculty of Human Sciences at Universidade Católica Portuguesa, in Lisbon, will host the Congress “Tutoring4Success: Present and Emerging Futures of Tutoring in Higher Education”. The event is organized as part of the UCP4SUCCESS project, a collaborative initiative dedicated to preventing academic dropout and promoting student success.
Structured as a conceptual and experiential journey throughout the day, the Congress is guided by four key objectives and combines scientific evidence, institutional experiences, and field practices, promoting critical and forward-looking reflection on tutoring in higher education:
- Deconstruct: Question and deepen understanding of the impacts, limitations, and potential of tutoring models;
- Construct: Systematize knowledge about tutoring models, approaches, and practices, identifying guiding principles for action;
- Integrate: Discuss the integration of tutoring into institutional ecosystems, linking research, practice, and decision-making, and exploring the organizational conditions for its sustainability;
- Reconstruct: Design future paths for the development of tutoring practices, tutor training, research, and educational policies geared toward academic success, inclusion, and the comprehensive development of students.
Participation is free of charge, upon registration. More information will be released in due course.
