She completed a PhD in Evolutionary and Educational Psychology in 2006 at the University of Santiago de Compostela, a Master's Degree in Educational Sciences in 2000 at the University of Minho-Institute of Education, a Degree in Primary Teaching in 1975 at the University of Minho-Institute of Education, a Degree in Educational Sciences in 1993 at the University of Minho-Institute of Education and a Bachelor's Degree in Visual Arts in 1976 at the Soares dos Reis School of Visual Arts in Porto. She is the coordinator of the postgraduate II-Cycle Courses in Educational Sciences: Special Education at the Portuguese Catholic University - Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences, Assistant Professor at the Portuguese Catholic University - Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences, Guest Assistant Professor at the Pedagogical University of Mozambique and a member of the Scientific Council of the journal Sobredotação. She has published 16 articles in specialised magazines. Organised 17 events. She has supervised 45 master's dissertations. She works in the areas of Social Sciences with an emphasis on Education Sciences - Special Education, Education Sciences, Psychology with an emphasis on General Psychology and Humanities with an emphasis on the Arts.
