From January 18 to 20, 2024, the V International Congress of Pedagogy will be held under the title "Education and Culture of Peace: Memory, Truth and Forgiveness".

From January 18 to 20, 2024, the 5th International Pedagogy Congress will be held under the title "Education and Culture of Peace: Memory, Truth and Forgiveness". This initiative by the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences of the Braga Regional Centre of the Portuguese Catholic University, together with the University of Deusto, is aimed at academics and professionals, researchers and teachers, governmental and non-governmental organizations, civil society, educators and students, school managers and directors and anyone interested in the theme of Education and Culture of Peace.

The 5th International Congress of Pedagogy aims to be a space for reflection and the sharing of ideas and experiences that can contribute to a deeper understanding of the paths leading to a more peaceful and harmonious society.

The current situation, marked by strong military, social, religious and political conflicts, as well as the growing wave of migrants and refugees, calls for deep thinking about the driving role of education for understanding and good relations between people and peoples. This dimension implies at least the three major vectors that constitute the lines of force of this congress: (a) memory; (b) truth and (c) forgiveness.

Academics, researchers, educators and training professionals in general are invited to present papers on all topics related to the theme of the Congress "Education and Culture of Peace: Memory, Truth and Forgiveness", in the areas listed above.

Communications can be submitted until November 10th.
