FFCS marks Ignatian Day under the theme 'Fears, Hopes, and Joys'

Tuesday, March 10, 2026 - 18:12
On March 12, the Catholic University of Braga will celebrate Ignatian Day under the theme “Fears, Hopes, and Joys”. This date refers to Saint Ignatius of Loyola, founder of the Society of Jesus, whose historical connection to the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences (FFCS) inspires the celebration.

The program begins with lunch, between 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m., at the Centro Académico de Braga (CAB), for students of the Catholic University of Braga. The meal, which will include pork sandwiches and other surprises, is free of charge, upon prior registration, to be made by 2:00 p.m. on March 11.

After lunch, there will be a fun and reflective activity, with games and activities related to the theme of the day, scheduled to last until 2:30 p.m. This initiative aims to stimulate reflection on personal experiences of fears, hopes, and joys, reinforcing the spirit of community among students.

The celebration continues in the afternoon with a sunset and karaoke session, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., with the aim of promoting moments of socializing and relaxation.

Ignatian Day at FFCS is therefore an opportunity to reflect on Ignatian values, strengthen ties within the academic community, and celebrate, in a joyful and participatory manner, the history and principles that unite the institution with the Jesuit tradition.
