On 11 July, between 9.00 am and 1.00 pm, the Portuguese Catholic University (UCP) – Braga will host an Open Day dedicated to the Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, under the theme “Understanding people, transforming contexts”. The initiative aims to showcase the course’s educational programme, with a view to introducing prospective students and their families to the academic, personal and institutional experience offered at the Braga Campus.

The programme begins at 9.00 am with a welcome session and an icebreaker, followed by a welcome address to participants at 9.45 am. At 10.15 am, students will have the opportunity to take part in a mini-lesson on the theme “Social media, self-esteem and mental health – The impact of digital technology on our brains”. At the same time, parents and legal guardians will be invited to reflect on the theme “Educating for independence: parents as allies in their children’s academic development”.

Following a coffee break scheduled for 11.00 am, the round-table discussion ‘Course Preview’ will take place at 11.30 am, featuring testimonials from current and former students. Among the topics highlighted will be the actual experience of the course, the reasons behind choosing Católica Braga, and the advice they wish they had received at the age of 17.

The morning concludes with the activity “Discovering Católica Braga”, a guided tour of the premises scheduled for 12.30 pm, followed by the closing ceremony at 1.00 pm with the “Tree of Dreams” activity.

Attendance is free, but you must register in advance by 8 July.
