Assessment and Intervention with Adults

This course aims to deepen knowledge and
skills in assessment, conceptualisation and clinical intervention in adults.
Specifically, the objectives of this course are:

  • To deepen and integrate knowledge related to the most prevalent mental problems and disorders in adults (symptomatology, associated characteristics, diagnostic criteria and differential diagnosis, aetiology);
  • To deepen skills in the field of assessment through clinical interviews and structured instruments in the field of psychopathology, with a focus on instruments validated for the Portuguese population;
  • To master specific models of conceptualisation and intervention in the most common mental problems and disorders in adults.
