Vanessa Nunes has a PhD in Social Work from the University of Coimbra (FPCE-UC) and the Portuguese Catholic University (FCH-UCP), as part of the Interuniversity Programme in Social Work (PIUDSS) (2021), a Master's degree in Family and Social Systems from the Miguel Torga Higher Institute (2008), a postgraduate degree in Child Protection from the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra (2006) and a degree in Social Work from the Miguel Torga Higher Institute (ISMT) (2003).
She is currently a researcher on the TeachMi Project - Teacher preparation for migrant school inclusion, under the Erasmus+KA3 Programme, as part of the activities developed by the FPCE-UC Citizenship and Social Intervention Observatory (OCIS), and on the CUF Social Work Study, developed by the Portuguese Catholic University, under the coordination of Professor Francisco Branco, funded by the Amélia de Mello Foundation. She is a guest lecturer at the Portuguese Catholic University in Braga and at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Coimbra in the 1st and 2nd cycles of Social Work.
