PhD in Philosophy (Aesthetics) from the Portuguese Catholic University (UCP).
He is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences of the same University, where he has co-ordinated Undergraduate and Master's Degree Courses, as well as the Doctorate Course in Philosophy.
He is a member of the Centre for Philosophical and Humanistic Studies (CEFH).
His research interests centre on the areas of Aesthetics and Art Theory, with an emphasis on the theme of Aesthetic and Artistic Experience, in its articulations with the other dimensions of human experience, namely with social and political values; religious, metaphysical and spiritual values; educational, pedagogical and communicational values; ethical and moral values; technical and scientific values; economic values and, more generally, cultural values.
He also researches in the areas of Portuguese Philosophical Thought, Phenomenology and the History of Philosophy (Ancient Western, Eastern and African).
She has taught various courses related to these areas and has published articles in scientific journals and chapters in collective works.
