Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Braga campus, and IDRYL Technologies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at strengthening the connection between higher education and industry by promoting a more practical approach to education, focused on innovation and the development of solutions to real world challenges.

Focused on the Bachelor's Degree in Applied Data Science, offered by the Institute for Computing and Data Science, the partnership will enable students to develop projects in close collaboration with a company specialising in Information Technology and Information Systems, while strengthening the technical and transversal skills required to meet the demands of an increasingly data driven market.

The memorandum establishes a strategic collaboration in the areas of education, applied research and technological innovation, providing for the development of joint projects, educational programmes and other initiatives of mutual interest that strengthen cooperation between academia and industry.

As part of the partnership, IDRYL Technologies will contribute specialist expertise, technological platforms, participation in academic activities and the development of practical projects, providing students with a learning experience that is closely aligned with the realities of the business world.

The partnership reinforces the educational approach of the Bachelor's Degree in Applied Data Science, which combines a strong practical and interdisciplinary focus with close collaboration with organisations, further strengthening Universidade Católica Portuguesa's commitment to academic excellence and to education that meets the evolving needs of the labour market and the challenges of digital transformation.
