As part of the UCP4SUCCESS initiative, the Portuguese Catholic University is hosting the webinar “Is University for Everyone?”: Inclusion and Experiences in Higher Education, a forum for academic, human, and social reflection dedicated to the inclusion of students with disabilities in higher education.
This event aims to stimulate discussion about the current challenges facing academic institutions in creating truly accessible and inclusive environments, while encouraging reflection on institutional practices, accessibility, a sense of belonging, and the active participation of all students.
The session will be led by Carla Madureira, a doctoral candidate in Education Sciences, a teacher in elementary education and special education, and a researcher in the areas of inclusion and disability. Her academic work focuses on promoting a more inclusive society, and she has experience in public service, having served as a Member of the Portuguese Parliament and as Deputy Secretary of State for Inclusion and Disability. She also maintains ties to the community through her involvement in local projects and institutions, linking educational practice with social and civic engagement.
This webinar is intended for the entire academic community at the Portuguese Catholic University.
The event will be held online, and participation is free with prior registration.
