  • Understand the fundamental concepts of Western philosophy regarding human existence and action, analyzing their historical evolution and current implications;
  • Relate philosophical concepts to the challenges of contemporary global society and the impact of technological and scientific progress;
  • Apply ethical principles in social work practice, analyzing ethical dilemmas in professional contexts;
  • Equip students to identify and address ethical and professional conduct issues in their practice, proposing well-founded solutions;
  • Foster the skills necessary for participation in processes of ethical and professional decision-making and policy development.
