The discipline has the main objective of contributing to a broad understanding of the digital phenomenon in literature has been asserting itself as a new media and its socio-cultural impact has been evident in the creative industries. The discipline aims to develop ways of perceiving the digital medium.

It aims to encourage the use of the resources offered by digital tools to produce forms that creatively explore the properties of the materials: digital book - author - reader. In this context, it is important to analyze the significant transformations of literature in digital culture. To interrogate the impact of the new media of literary writing; and, above all, the new languages and even new genres that emerge in the hypermedia scenario. And also to think about the impact of new modes of reading, new modes of editing, and the issues that arise in intellectual property. In short, to reflect on the new figurations of the triad author, text and reader.
