From October 12 to 16, the Portuguese Catholic University is hosting a week dedicated to creativity as a human, cultural, and transformative force, as part of the European alliance Transform4Europe.
From October 12 to 16, 2026, the Portuguese Catholic University will host Creativity Week at its Braga Campus—an intensive, interdisciplinary academic event that will bring together students, doctoral candidates, early-career researchers, faculty, and staff, as well as schools, companies, and other stakeholders from the Transform4Europe community.
Under the theme “Creativity,” the initiative aims to promote reflection and dialogue on creativity as a human, cultural, and transformative force, exploring its role and impact in the 21st century from various perspectives, including philosophical, artistic, scientific, educational, social, and technological ones.
Over the course of five days, the program will be organized around three major thematic challenges: Creativity and Artificial Intelligence, Creativity and Conflict Resolution, and Creativity for Sustainability and Social Transformation. These themes will serve as the framework for discussions, knowledge sharing, and collaboration across different fields and communities.
Creativity Week also includes three initiatives from Transform4Europe, reinforcing its international scope and fostering opportunities for academic and scientific collaboration.
Through this initiative, the Portuguese Catholic University aims to create a space where different fields of knowledge and communities can come together, fostering the exchange of ideas, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the development of new solutions to contemporary challenges.
Creativity Week will take place at the Braga Campus of the Portuguese Catholic University from October 12 to 16, 2026.
