The rector of the Portuguese Catholic University (UCP), Isabel Capeloa Gil, assured yesterday that this educational establishment ‘puts its entire structure at the service of the region, to promote the training of young people and create new protagonists, to foster innovation, to promote the training of companies through lifelong learning, to attract talent to strengthen the country's capacities’.

‘The Braga Regional Centre certainly has an important regional mission, at the service of civil society in the North, of companies, of the Church, in important coordination with the other institutions of the national scientific system in the region,’ she said, highlighting its “legacy and reputation for quality”.

She stressed that, ‘with more than 800 students and a growth of 2% in the last year, the Braga Regional Centre is part of the organic - and not federative - universe of the UCP, a presence that acts at regional, national and global level. It serves the region, serving the country and making an important contribution to UCP's global positioning’
