The book ‘25 de Abril: permanências, ruturas e recomposições’, published by Agência ECCLESIA and coordinated by UCP's Centre for the Study of Religious History (CEHR), will be presented today at 6pm in Braga.

In Braga, the public presentation of the publication will take place in a session at the Braga Regional Centre of the Portuguese Catholic University (Isidro Alves Auditorium) and will include speeches by Fátima Moura Ferreira (University of Minho) and Luís Leal (Centre for Studies in Religious History - UCP-CEHR).

‘25 de Abril: permanências, ruturas e recomposições’ is a book that was published as part of the celebrations for the 50th anniversary of democracy in Portugal, with scientific coordination by the Centre for Studies in Religious History and published by the ECCLESIA Agency.

The publication is the result of work carried out as part of a research project by the Portuguese Catholic University's CEHR, ‘dedicated to the process of democratic transition in Portugal’, addressing ‘different issues surrounding religion, faith practices, convictions and their various institutional and confessional elements and levels, paying attention to the permanence, ruptures and recompositions that took place’.

The book ‘25 de Abril: permanências, ruturas e recomposições’ is structured around four fundamental themes: ‘the War, Decolonisation, Democracy and Development’.
